Over the years we have sold countless rolls of GlassVu to customers around the world who have deployed it in theatrical staging and corporate events, showroom windows and movie sets, control panels and art installations.
We varied our models to include mirrored properties, darker or lighter colors and even double-sided adhesive-free units. But mostly our clients pretty much wanted either Clear or Charcoal for their installations.
With several choices for the length and 1.5 meters wide (5' for you baby-boomers), our clients would usually select 5 meters as the perfect length for their projects.
By limiting our models to 5-meter rolls of GlassVu Clear and GlassVu Charcoal we determined we could greatly reduce our costs and provide next-day delivery to most anywhere on the planet. Which is exactly what we have done.
When choosing GlassVu, the level of ambient light in your installation is a critical factor.
Most storefront installations call for Charcoal which offers great performance with the caveat that too much sunlight directly shining on a window will wash out any projection. This may be fine if the projection is not expected to perform for those affected hours, while looking great for the balance of the day and night.
If your installation only calls for dusk-to-dawn use, or where the light is controlled in an indoor setting, either a Clear or Charcoal screen should be ideal. The Clear has the additional benefit of being virtually transparent during business hours when activity in a store or restaurant may attract additional customers.
